A Digital Corona
The echo of 2020's rough start is still resounding in our thoughts and is present in everyday communication. The eruption of the corona virus pandemic marked a new beginning, a new era of life in which our everyday habits went through revision and adapted to a new time, to a new "normal". If we add the Zagreb earthquake, which happened at the very beginning of the lockdown, to the equation, the stress was almost too much for many people.
We were planning to hold our 25th Zagreb AV show this Spring. Unfortunately, it had to be cancelled like all other shows across the globe. This was a great blow to the business of consumer industry, and in the moment I'm writing this editorial, things aren't looking any brighter for 2021.
Until our circumstances turn for the better, until we're able to host AV shows live, we're left with digital platforms (web or social media) for more intensely publishing content and news. We also invite you to actively participate in the development of our magazine with your comments and feedback, so that we might provide you with an even better reading experience.
The new edition of our magazine includes a variety of interesting articles, from high-end products (TAD-D1000Mk2, Audiovector R 3 Signature), excellent Hi-Fi components with affordable prices (Audioquest DragonFly Cobalt, Denon Home 250, Arcam Solo Uno), all the way to gadgets like Ikea Symfonisk. Our film & music section is as varied as ever, and it includes a portrait of the American musician Fiona Apple, and a review of Frank Herbert's cult SF novel "Dune", whose movie adaptation will be brought to the silver screen by Denis Villeneuve.
I wish you a pleasant reading...
