Environmental
Potentials North America (EPNA) is pleased to award an EP-2450, EP-2050, and
EP-2750 to four lucky Enjoy the Music.com mailing list members. The
EP-2450 Home Theater Power Supply is a robust industrial design that includes
three patented circuits by a leading power quality R&D organization. The
unit will protect home entertainment assets from surge events while tracking,
filtering, absorbing, and dissipating high frequency resonance from the system
with no shunt to ground. The EP-2050 Whole House PQ Filter and Surge Absorber
are residential models of the industrial EP-2000 patented waveform correction
absorber. EPNA claims this is the most aggressive power quality filtration
technology available and will remove all system anomalies at 3kHz or greater,
without residual byproduct or shunt back into the system. EP-2750 ground
blocks removes high frequency resonance in the grounding system, add filtering
to prevent ground loops and reduces the chance of damage from lightening
strikes.
MSRP: Environmental Potentials North America EP-2450 and EP-2050 are $750 each
while the EP-2750 is $600 for a total of $2,100. Four lucky winners will be

The
Tanto VFlex loudspeakers are 1.5-way full range loudspeakers featuring a 16.5
cm wool and paper midrange/bass driver and a 19 mm ring radiator tweeter. The
main driver does not use any crossover, while a single capacitor is used with
the high frequency driver unit. Using VFlex loading, Tanto is said to
reproduce live music with incredible accuracy and with an uncanny sense of
"being there." The precision made machined front and back baffles
feature a surface with vibration breaking V grooves. Internally, the Tanto
VFlex is heavily braced as the inside baffle panel has asymmetric focal
grooves to break and spread standing sound wave. Gold plated Cardas
loudspeaker binding posts and tripod footing with integrated adjustable spikes
round out this impressive design. Sensitivity is 91.5dB/W/m at a 4 Ohm
impedance. Frequency response is from 18Hz to 30kHz with dimensions being 36 x
10 x 16 (HxWxD in inches).

III-N1 cable and a two meter length of their Speaker Reference III-N1 cable.
The speaker cable features double-shielded Alpha-OCC Conductors to eliminate
radiated noise while Formula GC-303 Antimagnetic EMI-Absorbent Modules
surround each cable. The wire is insulated with air-foamed Irradiated PE
reducing capacitance and damping vibration as the FP-201 Spade terminals are
nonmagnetic rhodium-plated pure copper. The cable is said to result in greater
resolution, clarity, powerful dynamics, and an ultra-quiet soundstage in which
music develops more fully without artificial upper-frequency 'presence region'
glare. Furutech's Power Reference III-N1 cable features double-shielded a
Alpha-Conductors to eliminate radiated noise and Formula GC-303 Antimagnetic
EMI-Absorbent Modules surround each cable. The male side has Rhodium-plated
nonmagnetic pure copper while the female side has Rhodium-plated phosphor
bronze contacts. Furutech's unique wire-clamping mechanism guarantees ultra
firm connections while Twin Flexible PVC sheaths improve vibration isolation.
Furutech's GC-303 allows a deeper, tighter bass to form a solid foundation for
the rest of the frequency range, better defining the original recording's
venue. Natural, unforced detail reveals nuance and energy for an engaging
musical experience. Both products are 2007 The Absolute Sound Editors' Choice

Audience
proudly joins Enjoy the Music.com in their third annual contest by
giving away their aR1p. The Adept Response will elevate the performance of
your audio/video system to new heights and is hand built without the use of
circuit boards or clip on connections, plus employs premium quality high
current components throughout. The aR1p power conditioner is designed for
single component applications like mono block amplifiers, receivers, video
projectors and video displays. It plugs directly into a wall or ceiling power
outlet (no power cord required) and provides surge suppression up to 20,000
Amperes. Whereas many surge suppression devices like the ubiquitous MOV (Metal
Oxide Varistor) are sacrificial devices and wear out over time, the aR1p surge
suppression does not deteriorate. The aR1p employs wide bandwidth RF
filtration. By reducing power line noise interference the adeptResponse
provides a lower noise floor and blacker background, resulting in a higher
resolution audio/video presentation.

Ultra
Systems will be sending a lucky Enjoy the Music.com Mailing List member
a set of four Cathedral Sound Acoustic Panels for room tuning. These
decor-friendly units reduce room acoustic problems and are usually mounted in
the upper corners in an effort to equalize the frequency response within a
listening room. They reduce the chances of standing sound waves from causing
either overblown or anemic lower frequency response. The Cathedral Sound Room
Dampening Panels use simple materials to adapt to room acoustic control the
long identified principles of air flow and the relationship to pressure
changes known as the "Venturi Effect." Naturally proper room
acoustics is highly desired to achieve the very best in music reproduction.
Each panel measures 11 x 16 x 2 (HxWxD in inches) and weighs only 4 lbs.
