HIGH END 2019 Show Report Munich Germany

Furutech NCF Cable Booster-Signal At HIGH END 2019
HIGH END 2019 Show Report By Steven R. Rochlin

If there's one thing we members of the press need to pay more attention too, it is accessories that many manufacturers employ during high-end audio events. Here at HIGH END 2019 in Munich, if one paid close attention, you saw many rooms using Furutech's impressive excellent NCF Cable Booster-Signal. They were so impressive that in late 2017 they earned our Great Audiophile Gift Ideas For The 2017 Holiday Season recommendation.

Of course Furutech also had many of their plugs, wires, filters, and other connectors here at HIGH END 2019 in Munich. Yes Furutech's NCF Booster ($350 each, with additional extension shafts in 10pcs sets for $33) took center stage and employs specially developed sound enhancing material for superior connector and cable damping. According to Furutech, "Not only does the Furutech NCF Booster Connector and Cable Holder lift audio cables off the floor minimizing their points of contact, it also reduces electromagnetic interference and excels at providing NCF damping support for connectors and cables at points of connection. The NCF Booster Connector and Cable Holder allows for the optimum alignment between connectors and sockets and eliminates static – boosting performance by allowing a more pure and clear signal."

Developed by Furutech, NCF features a special crystalline material that has two 'active' properties. "First, it generates negative ions that eliminate static. Second, it converts thermal energy into far infrared. Furutech combines this remarkable material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for their additional piezoelectric damping properties. The resulting Nano Crystal² Formula, exclusive to Furutech, is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material." The top clamp unit is made from stainless steel block and audio-grade NCF nylon resin. As I said earlier, many rooms were using Furutech's Booster products at HIGH END 2019 (pictured below).

Enjoy the Music.com's Jeremy Kipnis says within his review of Furutech's NCF Cable Booster-Signal, "Sure there is a limit to how well you personally will hear the improvements I speak of when introducing even a few of the Furutech NCF Booster-Signal into an existing playback system. But taken as a whole, if you know and love the sound of your system and then add a few Booster-Signal in key spots (especially Speakers and Amp Power) you are likely to be in for a pleasant surprise, one that becomes increasingly intriguing and intoxicating since it will make your favorites sound new, once again and like you have never really heard them, before."

Jeremy continues, "Hyperbole? You be the judge. But you must try the Furutech NCF Booster-Signal, then, and give them a real chance. If you hear nothing improved or changed to your liking, good for you and consider yourself lucky. Otherwise, you will quickly hear things you did not know were in your music library and that demand more and more of your attention to hear anew and (really) for the very first time!" And this is why Furutech's NCF Cable Booster-Signal earns our Best of HIGH END 2019 award.
