Underwood HiFi, Emerald Physics, Exogal, DSPeaker And Wyred 4 Sound

  At APONA 2016 Emerald Physics will show a complete system that we sell as a package, Internet Direct, thru Underwood Hifi, for $11,999 with the new Emerald EP4.8 speakers, Emerald EP200.2SE power amp/ system controller, Exogal Comet Plus DAC and DSPeaker bass room correction.

System Features:
1) Emerald Physics EP-4.8 open baffle controlled dispersion loudspeakers. The new EP-4.8 uses new custom Emerald Physics Carbon fiber 15" cast basket bass and midrange drivers, our new Special Edition passive full range analog crossovers, the Emerald Neo Polyester Diaphragm Compression Tweeter all run full range... and no DSP. These new breakthrough drivers deliver 3dB more efficiency along with a speed, transparency and lack of smear only found in the most expensive loudspeakers our industry has to offer. The EP4.8 can be run with or without either of the optional Emerald DSP units we offer. They are shown here in our hand-painted Cocobolo finish but when shipping in June will only come in our new beautiful new Natural Macassar Ebony. Retail: $8495/pr

2) The speakers are driven by the new Emerald Physics EP200.2SE Special Edition 200 watt/ch hybrid digital amplifier/controller with Emerald Physics designed analog power supply. The 200.2SE, shown in our beautiful new powder coated cosmetic and available in translucent black or silver, can be used as a straight 200 watts per channel (400 watts @ 4 ohms) power amp with remote controlled volume control or as a 3 source (2 RCA & 1 XLR) Integrated amp with remote volume control and outboard processor loop. Retail: $2995

3) The DAC is the wonderful Exogal Comet Plus FPGA-based and upgradable DSD/PCM DAC. Underwood Hifi is now the exclusive US sales agent for the superb Exogal products.

4) The DSPeaker Anti-Mode Dual Core 2.0 is used as our bass room correction. This Stereophile Class A recommended component is also a Golden Ear Absolute Sound rated product. Retail: $1200

System retail: $16,190 with an Internet direct package price of $11,999.

The sources are a Wyred 4 Sound MS-1 server and Marantz CD-5004 player run into the analog input of the EP200.2SE control amp. Sources and cables are not included in the prices above.
Power conditioning is the new Core Power Technologies Equi=Core 1800 15 amp balanced power unit. Retail $1599. This new product ships in May.
