Denver Audio Design is a local store that specializes in home theater and also stereo. Seen here are a pair of Parsifal Ovation ($19,500) with the Marantz turntable (as seen within our Milan show coverage only weeks ago), and Marantz's preamp, amps, and SACD player. The store also carries, Krell, Thiel, and many others.

In the Lowther USA room they had, what else, Lowthers and tube goodies! The wood cradled tube amplifier is the Experience Music model Surrender monoblock ($14,500 per pair) with a mesh plate 2A3 with tube rectification, active loaded parallel feed output stage. Speakers are the smaller Lowther DX55 enabled model Alerion ($2,750) and larger speaker is the Medallion III+ ($4,995) with DX4 mated with a ribbon tweeter. Both are in a back-loaded horn cabinet.

Need a new night light? Experience Music showed tube lovers dreams for those dark nights. Not really a production piece, but he'll take $600.

Only at RMAF can you find a Berning Micro-ZOTL preamplifier (reviewed here) mated with a JE Labs 300B SE monoblock amplifier, that looks like a project more than a refined commercial piece, that is in turn used with a MaxxHorn Immersion ($8,600 per pair). Sounded great as Johan Van Zyl designed the speakers for Rhino Acoustics and 40Hz extension was solid with a single 6.5-inch full range dual-concentric driver. Soft dome tweeter centrally mounted has a second order crossover with the midrange/bass driver being crossoverless.

Said in my best Valley Girl voice, the Ginko Audio loudspeaker are, like, totally tubular. Fer sure, fer sure. The Tubulous speakers ($2,450 per pair... or $1,950 if you act by the end of the year, but if you act now they include a Ginko Audio Cloud 10 platform) have TersOlution as there are three drivers. The three drivers are three 6.5-inch drivers are in tandem and wired in parallel and a single 1-inch dome Bullet tweeter.

As i sing a song from The Police... Roksan, you don't have to put on the red CD. Those days are all over... Roksan's new Xerxes 20 ($4,495 with full width external power supply) has a great main bearing like their upper model, the platter assembly is 2-piece from 2 pieces (4 pieces total) for linear dampening. The plinth has various levels for isolation.

By the power of Thor i command you, the Avantgarde Duo Classic ($21,000, reviewed here), to sing! Well, the Thor Audio amplification was driving the Duos and includes the company's TA-1000 preamplifier and TLA-30 monoblock amps.

Aerosmith... we're living on the Edge... Edge electronics mated with Acoustic Zen's new Adagio loudspeaker ($3,700 per pair) with a pair of 6.5-inch drivers plus a 1.6-inch ribbon driver. Cabling was, of course, by Acoustic Zen.
