January 2009
As many within the industry are gearing up for the upcoming CES and THE Show 2009 (see our reports by clicking here), the January Review Magazine features three world premieres plus the final installment of our cable shootout. First up is the fo.Q audio damping accessories, as audiophiles love to tweak and tune to achieve better performance from their high-end audio system. Sure we all have our favorite ways to squeeze every drop of music we can, and so the fo.Q could very well help you achieve audiophile nirvana. Then we have Juicy Music's Peach II linestage tube preamplifier, as it has some very unique features. The Peach II has adjustable "Lo", "Hi" and "HT function said to allow users to get the very best out of the amplifier it feeds. There is high impedance (HiZ) for vacuum tube amplification while solid-state amplifiers may sound their best in SuperLoz mode. Home theater enthusiasts can simply choose the HTBypass mode for signal feed-through. Lastly, the ever-popular vacuum tube manufacturer TJ Full Music now offers their Carbon Plate 300B and reviewer Leonard Norwitz ropes in a few of his friends to help him make a conclusion about this new offering. During 2009 Enjoy the Music.com is focusing on becoming the #1 source for world premieres, as we can leave the second and third views on audiophile gear to other sources. Planned for next month is a world premiere in Superior Audio by yours truly. In light of this, i am not at liberty to discuss what is within my humble abode at the moment. What i will say is that the technology has been around for quite some time and i was the first to review and seek out various forms of this type of unit. Of course it is always fun to see other reviewers, years later, 'discover' the technology for themselves. My hopes are to see how manufacturers have fine-tuned and evolved this technology over the years. Well, not much else to say for the moment as am busy with the CES / THE Show preview report (click here). Many pages are filled with information about what will be seen in Las Vegas in a week or so. Of course there is no need to wait, as you can see it right now online! Of course during and after the show we will have more reports posted. Also gone is the usual lyrics, as now you will be able to enjoy streaming music videos. Ah yes, the wonders of the Internet!
