Woodstock '99 Concert Report

      So after paying a bargain
basement $4 for a bottle of water and $12 for a pizza it was snack to the main
East stage to see The Offspring! The Offspring seems to have "sold
out" in my eyes over the past year or two yet did put on a great show
for the crowd. In fact the crowd was getting seriously big at this time on
Friday evening as the stage was in glorious full glow. While the crowd was
all hyped up after The Offspring, a quick 20 minute band change and none
other than Korn stepped onto the stage!

Korn was supporting their new album called Follow the
Leader with such hit songs as "Freak on a Leash" and "Got
the Life". They had the crowd in a frenzy! i, too, was feeling the adrenalin
rushing through my veins. Korn kicked booty! After all the concerts were over many people went to the
Emerging Artist stage in the center of the Woodstock '99 fairgrounds to
enjoy the Rave Club. Many different and well known DJs spun the wheels of
steel from about 1am until after daybreak!

    Another
often seen occurrence were the Drum People. These were a group of various
people who turned the 50 gallon drums used for garbage on their side or
upside-down and used them as large drums. The drum people seemed to start
playing from around 6am until 10am or so.
