Ungoverned is an Australian company that believes you should be able to ride without limitation. They know you, the rider, and realize what you want in futuristic riding. So they are developing systems that will allow you to get there, virtually anywhere your wherever may be. The vehicle ridden in Ungoverned 1 is powered by an electric start four stroke engine. It weighs 49 kilograms and id designed to allow easy interchangeability of power source from the internal combustion engine to a battery and electric motor system; or perhaps to any power source that is yet to come on the market. Rider Dan just finished filming Ungoverned 1 and all had a blast doing it. The vehicle will shortly be tested on snow with the results posted online. At 49 kilos is it lighter than your average snowmobile so thin ice may now be a bit less less intimidating. Snow to pavement transfers happen without damage to pavement, asphalt or the vehicle. As we all know, various states ban snowmobiles and sleds on paved areas for the damage they can cause. Ungoverned's little vehicle negates this problem and without requirement to change tracks/skis. Whilst the footage in Ungoverned 1 is slow, they are frankly a bit embarrassed at the results. They claim the unit was stuck in first gear the entire time. Still, they shot the film regardless and got some usable footage. The gearbox has since been sorted and the company is very excited to ride again as soon as possible. Now keep in mind what you currently see at Ungoverned are prototypes only. They have used an electric start, four stroke internal combustion engine for its ease of use. They are seeking to certify an electric vehicle. If you love what you se, visit Scarpar.com and get on the "I want one list" as they may shortly be introducing a customer loyalty program whereby they service existing customers first. Thus when Scarpar's next gen vehicles come out, it is your door that Scarpar will knock on first.
