Perhaps nothing screams an excellent experience in having one of those 'hot nights' like wielding your very own flamethrower. The XM42 ($899) is the world's first fully handheld, grab and go flamethrower on the market. There are no heavy pressurized tanks or low-brow car-wash sprayers here as this made in the USA flamethrower was developed with both aesthetics and high performance in mind. It is simple to use and provides nearly endless possibilities for entertainment and utility. Founded in 2004, and officially registered in 2015, The Ion Productions Team is a small company located in metro Detroit that focuses on bringing exciting and unique products to the world. Thinkers, dreamers, and engineers united to develop the XM42 flamethrower and today has a thriving business model. The XM42 originated from an array of ideas sketched and jotted down over the years. In 2015, a new spark ignited the flame (so to speak) and CAD drawings were completed. After extensive research and evaluation, with the always interesting numerous prototype iterations, the XM42 flamethrower "as awesome as we envisioned it to be" says The Ion Productions Team.
The XM42 is capable of generating flames reaching 25 feet in distance, with a full tank of fuel lasting over 35 seconds if continuously operated. When the tank is empty, simply open the fill cap, pour in fuel like a lawn mower, ignite the pilot torch, and you're good to go. Weight is only 10.4 lbs. when filled and ready to rock. Dimensions are 29 .5" x 10" x 15" (LxWxH) and it has a normal pump gasoline fuel capacity of 1.5 liters. The pilot ignition is easy with a simple push of the piezo starter. The unit is powered by a 11.1 volt lithium-polymer 2200mAh battery.
Imagine how fast you could clear away the ice this winter season, or perhaps eliminating weeds on your driveway. It can also be used to remove insect hives or start a bonfire at Burning Man. The XM42 is available in a wide variety of finishes to suit virtually any style.
Disclaimer: Common sense is necessary when using this product. Don't drink and drive... or text. Like any such device, never point the XM42 at anything you don't intend to burn or destroy. Not recommended for use during Internet discussion board of Facebook 'flame wars'. With that said, flame on...
