Do you want something stylish, solid, and almost practical from
Porsche Design? Then you may want their new Porsche Design P'3135 Solid titanium fountain pen ($1050). Coming from the fanatic engineers at
Porsche Design, founded by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche who designer the iconic 911, is their latest writing tool within the company’s accessories collection. Carefully milled from solid titanium, the P'3135 Solid fountain pen is milled from a single piece of solid titanium. Once polished, it is layered with a scratchproof plasma vacuum coating made of 99.99 percent pure titanium. This coating is said to be ten times harder than steel according to Porsche. As for the shape, the carefully measured curves end with an integral high quality rhodium coated 18-carat gold nib on one side. The other end
confidently ends sharply. Nib sizes available include Fine, Medium and Bold. Porsche Design chose to discretely conceal the fountain pen mechanism within the shaft. All one needs to do is apply a small amount of pressure and the end piece is then unscrewed to removed and refill. The pen is securely protected by an additional aluminum sleeve (supplied) to protect it during
travel.
