Co-invented and designed by a father and son team, the new Freq ($15 MSRP) for iPhone employs a hyperbolic flair wrapped on a 90 degree curve to boost the audible output from you device. This horn loading amplifies the acoustic output to produce higher sound output and fuller sound. It basically concentrates sound waves directed out of the speaker while also acting as a horn to boost the sound that reaches the iPhone's small microphone. Thus not only will your music benefit; the speakerphone will also perform better too. This unique design still lets you navigate your phone's music or communication apps while docked firmly in Freq in both vertical or horizontal viewing mode. You can charge your phone while docked even if you have one of the old large 30 pin connectors. Based on their extensive research and know-how, this design was decided to e the largest that still yielded an improvement in overall sound performance. There are multiple patents pending on this design. The Freq has a unique combination of ergonomic, aesthetic and charging features that further set it apart from other offering in the marketplace to date. It will accommodate all iPhone 4, 5 & 5C devices and refinements that allow you to charge any of these phones while docked within the Freq. See their Kickstarter campaign at this link.
