From The Editor... Anniversaries

  If one looks back at recent issues of the magazine, it can be noted that we published several pieces dealing with anniversaries of some of the greatest titles in the movie history.

I will highlight only some of them - 40 years since "The Taxi Driver" hit the screens, 75th anniversary of "Citizen Kane", 50th anniversary of the first "Star Trek" episode... 

And in this issue there is a piece dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the SF movie "Predator".However, in this issue we expand this trend towards history of popular music, too. We mark 20th anniversary of Radiohead's seminal "OK Computer" and there is also a longer piece on legendary jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, who was born one hundred years ago.

We do not want anybody to draw conclusions from these "historical" pieces that we are running out of ideas. These are, in the first place, our homages to authors, their works and projects that are always worth reconsidering as well as reminders of truly great and creative human achievements.

Similarly, starting with the next issue, we will publish pieces on legendary audio and video products that left mark in the history of AV industry. Since then, leafing through this issue, you can get a grasp on what is going on in the AV industry right now.

Anyway, until the next issue, we hope our will have a great time during their summer vacations - of course, with the little help of their favorite magazine, too.
