And
the crowd goes wild! Seen here at the DB Drag were just a few of the fans.
Here's a sport not just for men, but the King of DB levels is Team Alma Gates headed by
none other then herself, Alma.

Another great part of Fuse was the inline
skating competition. Shown here flyin' high over the funbox, this dude was having
more fun than should be legal. Well, maybe if he was on a skateboard in town like me
it would be illegal. This dude musta been catching over ten feet of air!

Naturally at any mobile audio show we have the
groupies. To the left is the MTX "groupie" who is also a very serious
aerobics competitor/instructor by the way. Be careful what cha say about MTX or
she'll kick your butt! Oh, gotta love the old GT in the background too. |

Here's the Orion girls. 'nuff said? |
Sony was giving away small basketballs if you could
hit a few baskets. Dettes/Dudes, you really oughtta make it to these shows because i
scoffed up about six CDs, five shirts, four posters, three Frisbees, two drink thingie,
and a partridge in a pear tree :-{)+ . Bottom line here is that Fuse was great fun with
lottsa live music too including They Might Be Giants! After attending the home
audio/video Hi-Fi '98 show and then the Fuse show my vote is for Fuse. More fun,
more free stuff, and even another reporter who attended both shows said to me that Fuse
was leagues better from a consumer point of view. Well, maybe one day the home folks
will realize how to make their show just as enjoyable as Fuse was. Until next
time...
Enjoy the music,
Steven R. Rochlin
