Pre-Show Coverage
This year the attendees at the
Frankfurt show will be experiencing, for the first time, the introduction of
the critically acclaimed 47 Laboratory system. Components to be seen at
the show include 47 Lab's PiTracer (seen above), Progression Gemini, Shigaraki and much
more. For vinyl replay, the Der Plattenspieler turntable, Incognito modified Rega RB300
tonearm, 47 Lab's own Miyabi/47 will be feeding their PhonoCube. Of
course the Gaincard (in dual mono mode) will be amplifying it all. To hold all
this gear, Ken Lyon's Neuance Shelves will be put to good use.
SYN Factory will be showing their "flying egg" U-Vola loudspeakers. These egg-shaped units hang from the ceiling and use high-quality drive units. These "eggs" come in various solid colors as well as unique schemes (i.e.
watermelon and the Earth globe as seen above). These Italian loudspeakers
employs a 100mm woofer mated with a centrally-mounted 26mm tweeter.
M Acoustic, a factory of Omicron Group, will be showcasing their Coherence Stage loudspeaker (seen above). This three-way bass reflex design uses an external crossover. Frequency
response is claimed as 28Hz to 24kHz with a 90dB/W/m sensitivity and a 6 ohm impedance.
