Audio Note UK Brings Tube And Silver Delights @ CAS 2014 The Audio Note UK room was making good sound with their TT Two Deluxe turntable mated with their Arm Three V2 9" tonearm that is wired with AN-AI 99.99% pure silver wire ($3525 and $2000 respectively). The updated TT Two suspended, two motor turntable takes advantage of an external power supply with optional electronic speed switching. Their IQ3 moving magnet cartridge ($980) has a specially designed Pocan body and in total weighs 6 grams. The cartridge uses a square cross-section titanium cantilever. For digital duties, the Audio Note UK CD 4.1x filled the bill nicely ($11,800) and is their top-line one box CD player that combines their CDT Two/II transport, based on the Philips CD Pro2LF mechanism plus an improved version of the DAC2.1x/II with Analog Devices AD1865N to read files upwards of 24-bit/96kHz. The stand-mounted K/SPe speakers ($3700 per pair) are two-way, acoustic suspension type with a 8" woofer and 0.75" silk dome tweeter to achieve 90dB/W/m sensitivity. All cabling was of course by Audio Note UK and they were silver for interconnects from the record player and CD player to the integrated amplifier. Audio Note UK copper wires went from the integrated amplifier to the loudspeakers. Above is the Audio Note OTO SE Phono Signature integrated amplifier ($5525, or $6325 with phonostage) takes their classic OTO parallel single-ended EL84 integrated amp and adds AN tantalum resistors and AN foil caps in critical locations. They also replaced the M4 IE output transformers with IHiB double c-core models. It is available with either a brushed aluminum or black acrylic faceplate. Reviews...
