  Back at Staverton for a second year were MC2 Ultrafide. Last year their pre-power was in the midst of being launched, now they are fully on stream and have shipped many units.

The Ultrafide U500DC comes in at £3,750 with the matching U4PRE preamp at £4,500.

Art Loudspeakers were playing their Impression Diamond Reference 10 speakers via Bricasti electronics. Given the state of my back I'm "interested" in the immense weight of these loudspeakers, 72 kgs each! That's over 158 American pounds. Wow!

Cadnam had an array of speakers. There was the M4, M6, M8, and M10. The new twin chamber 40Kg M10 look especially impressive with their Volt bass driver.

Kirmuss showed their very effective ultrasonic record cleaner equipment as well as described their process for thorough cleaning and restoration.

Secret Chord Analogue also talks about record restoration. Their method is closer to the PVA glue method discussed in forums. Unlike the PVA method, the chances of leaving behind a piece of stylus-destroying glue are said to be non-existent.
