Toronto Audiofest 2019 Show Report Taking Care Of Business
Due to lifestyle changes and a lot of unfinished business back home I'm forced to cover the Toronto show a little differently this year. The least I can do is present the photos taken on Friday and Saturday… and there are a lot of them. If I am able, I will return in a few weeks to add commentary on the excellence of the presentations… and there was a lot of excellence. This was the fourth major show I've covered this year and I'm trying to come to grips with the work load of my traditional approach of covering every room. Severe redundancy is setting in, but for this show at least, I will not cut back on the photos. We'll see where that leads in the future as I truly love being there and supporting this industry. Many of the photos of individual products were new introductions.
You knew right away you were at the right hotel when you see a VW Microbus sitting out front, festooned with peace signs and a surfboard on top. This is, after all, the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock. The peace sign was everywhere to be seen throughout the hotel — on the elevator keys, the floors, the walls, leading you down the Yellow Brick Road to rooms filled with great music. I started out on the ground floor, winding through the Sutton Hall where headphones seemed to predominate.
