Salon Audio Montréal Audiofest Show Report Part 1
Room 1321 Tri-Art Audio
Their gear seems a little complex because of separate power supplies and add-ons such as variable input sensitivity on their passive preamp. They also have multiple turntables with multiple tonearm options.
Or how about a vertical power bar with a tube buffer stage? You will also notice several finish options for the Plyboo.
Or a top-loading CD player?
New this show was a clever little Balanced Transformer that lets you input with single-ended cables and output through either enhanced single-ended outputs or through a balanced connection. Steve Ginsberg doesn't know of any other product like it on the market.
Their various speakers are typically the most visually captivating product in the room. They only do open-baffle designs, and most feature a tiny super-tweeter that gives the music a very open, airy feeling. I'm a big fan of open-baffle designs, having reviewed several different companies' offerings. Acoustically, the Tri-Art is among the very best.
The only thing missing here was real bamboo trees for room treatments. Look for Tri-Art at AXPONA 2023 if you go.
