Nordost @ Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2019

  This year at the Rocky Mountain International Audio Fest (RMAF) Nordost is teaming up with three prominent USA-based hi-fi manufacturers: YG Acoustics, VTL, and VPI. Join Nordost as they demonstrate their newest products on a reference system, wired with a complete loom of the company's flagship Odin 2 cables. RMAF is the perfect opportunity to see the innovations that everyone has been talking about: the QPOINT Resonance Synchronizer, and QSOURCE Linear Power Supply.

First introduced at High End in Munich, Nordost's QPOINT Resonance Synchronizer address the electromechanical resonances found within virtually every audio component. When these electromechanical resonances oscillate concurrently, but not in unison, the discordant vibrations become a source of electrical noise, resulting in smeared, muddy sound. The QPOINT Resonance Synchronizer emits a subtle field which manipulates all electromechanical resonances within its immediate proximity so that they vibrate in unison.

For maximum effect, QPOINT units should be placed directly under or on top of targeted components, such as solid state or tube amplifiers, digital or analog source components, traditional line stages, or modern digital processors. Incorporating Nordost's QPOINT Resonance Synchronizer into your system will result in dramatic sonic effects, including enhanced coherency, greater dynamic range, more fluid musical expression, and greater space and ambiance in musical reproduction.

Nordost's new QSOURCE is the first Linear Power Supply designed specifically for hi-fi audio applications. The QSOURCE provides a stable, clean output of DC power at select voltages, while maintaining extremely low noise levels. The QSOURCE uses a top-of-the-line transformer with a unique circuit design to convert AC to DC power, while an internal QRT module smoothes out DC output and removes electrical anomalies and noise artifacts from the line. To complete the transmission chain, Nordost has designed the purpose-built QSOURCE DC Cable, so that the new QPOINT, as well as any other DC-run components in your system, can be run by your QSOURCE unit. Whether used in conjunction with Nordost's QPOINT Resonance Synchronizer, or as a standalone power supply for DC-dependent audio components, Nordost's QSOURCE Linear Power Supply is said to bring a new dimension to your sound system, allowing you to enjoy richer and more nuanced musical performances.
