Walking by this room, I was drawn in by the arresting circular counter used by Dan Wiggins of Periodic Audio. I'll admit Head-Fi is not my beat, but once inside and greeted by the friendly staff, just knew I had to listen. Dan's IEM lineup is comprised of three models, each named for the metal used as the transducer, Mg for magnesium, ($99 per pair), Ti for titanium, ($199 per pair), and Be for Beryllium, ($299 per pair). I tried the extremes, Mg and Be, the top of the line Be being more detailed and extended at both ends, and more refined. I listened to Cat Stevens' "Sad Lisa", "Longer Boats", and "Where Will The Children Play", and heard loads of detail, immediate and clear voice of Cat, and great bass, (the roll in of the drums late in “Children”) with impact felt in my ears. I want a pair.
