Florida International Audio Expo 2025 Show Report

Day 2 Delivers Tantalizing Hi-Fi Gear At FIAE 2025
More rooms, more musical bliss!
Florida International Audio Expo 2025 Show Report By Brett Rudolph

Room 455   Next Level HiFi / Audio Group Denmark
Next Level HiFi / Audio Group Denmark had four rooms at the Florida International Audio Expo. Three were on the 4th floor, and one big one was on the 1st. The first one I visited featured equipment, speakers, and cables from Axxess. Although I have seen everything on display before, it always seems new when encountered in a new environment, and this was no different. Luckily, the performance was equally impressive.

The first thing about this system is how amazingly clear everything sounds. There is nearly no distortion in the playback of any demo track, regardless of complexity or genre. Added to this is the richness of the layering of vocals, which are layered over the pristine instrumentals. If that wasn't enough, these speakers can play load. I don't play things to the point that my head vibrates, but if that is your thing, these babies have you covered. All of the speakers from them do.

The system in this room consisted of Axxess L1 Speakers, an Axxess Forte 1 Integrated Amplifier, Axxess Cabinets, and an Accessories Loom.

Room 459   Next Level HiFi / Audio Group Denmark
This was the second Next Level HiFi / Audio Group Denmark that I visited on the 4th floor. Again, on display was a system I had previously encountered at the Capital Audio Fest 2024. Enjoy the Music.com enthusiasts know that their stereo systems were very well done at CAF 2024, and once again here at FIAE 2025. Although it was loud for me, and the system in Florida was essentially the same great sound.

These speakers are a step up from the Axxess L1s, and it does show. There is a greater level of resolution and detail. Suppose you enjoy electronic and newer music styles. In that case, these are a better fit, as they seem better able to grasp the upper midrange than the Axxess L1 speakers. Still, again, it is a personal taste/ They did seem a little more forward than the L1s, but that could easily be attributed to the room. One of my favorite things about these speakers is the large “sweet spot.” Although every speaker has one, you could sit just about anywhere and have a great experience.

The system in this room consisted of Borresen X1 speakers, Axxess Forte 2 Integrated Amplifier, Ansuz X3 Cables, and Accessories Loom.

Room 463   Next Level HiFi / Audio Group Denmark
The final room from Next Level HiFi / Audio Group Denmark contained a treat. The company premiered its latest speaker, the Borresen T1. Admittedly, all of the rooms in them had good-sounding systems. Although a bit loud for my tastes, they had the precision and detail many find enjoyable. Indeed, on a song like "Bloody Mary," systems like these are remarkable. I would be the first to gravitate towards them, but the Borresen T1 changed me.

Unlike the other demo, this speaker has its qualities. It was less holographic to me than the others, which isn't bad. Instead, it had even better resolution and finer detail. The bass seemed more controlled, and the sound seemed much cleaner. These speakers seemed closer to the ones I generally prefer than those I am used to hearing from them. In short, these were my favorite of the bunch so far.

The system in this room consisted of Borresen T1 speakers, an Aavik U-280 Integrated Amplifier, Ansuz A3 cables, and an Accessories Loom.
