emm labs DA2 DAC, TX2 CD/SACD Transport And MTRX2 Monoblock Amplifiers

emm labs DA2 DAC, TX2 CD/SACD Transport And MTRX2 Monoblock Amplifiers

emm labs' DA2 DAC is the company's next generation flagship unit. Re-designed from the ground up, Ed Meitner has once again created a DAC that significantly moves the bar in terms of transparency, accuracy and overall sound quality. New in the DA2 includes:

• Ed Meitner's improved analog stages are now at a whole different level of transparency and performance

• MDAC is now the world's first true fully discrete DSD1024/16xDSD D/A converter and still completely built in-house at our manufacturing facility in Canada

• Our multi-award winning MDAT2 DSP has also been refined and updated to synergistically work with the new 16xDSD MDAC. The new MDAT2 DSP does real-time transient detection, processing and up-conversion of all incoming audio, PCM and DSD, before sending it to the new 16xDSD MDAC

• Proprietary hardware galvanic isolation for the USB Audio interface

Every other system from its proprietary jitter removal MFAST to its super accurate clock, MCLK has been carefully revised for better sound. The DA2 is shipping now, with pricing being $25,000 and up depending on options and finish.

emm labs' TX2 CD/SACD transport provides MDAT2 up-conversion technology to both CD and SACD playback prior to sending the data stream via our proprietary EMM Optilink interface. The EMM Optilink interface is a communications grade glass optical interface that allows the DAC to be galvanically isolated from the transport system thus removing digital, mechanical/vibration, and transport power system noise from the audio stream. The TX2 is shipping at a price of $25,000 and up depending on options and finish.

Lastly, emm labs has their powerful MTRX2 monoblock amplifiers, which is the smaller 1 KiloWatt sibling to their flagship MTRX monoblocks! The MTRX2 achieves their superlative performance and transparency using 21st century technology with Ed Meitner's proprietary circuit topologies and zero overall negative feedback. Fully discrete its systems offer ultra-low distortion, very high bandwidth and the ability to deliver massive transient currents instantaneously. The MTRX2 is meticulously designed using our proprietary ceramic PCB boards and with short, fully balanced audio paths throughout.

The MTRX2 is conservatively rated at 600W into 8 Ohms and 1000W into 4 Ohms. Like its bigger sibling, the MTRX2 is also completely stable driving difficult, complex loads, and has the uncanny ability to drive low impedance speakers down to an Ohm! All while keeping distortion at miniscule levels. The emm labs MTRX2 will be shipping in second quarter 2016, with pricing TBA later this year as well.
