Audeze, maker of award-winning planar magnetic headphones, is exhibiting at the 2016 CES.
They'll feature the LCD-4 in Suite 35-207 at the Venetian and LVCC South Hall 1 20312. The LCD-4
Audeze's new reference headphone is meticulously hand-built using the finest, most luxurious materials combined with cutting-edge planar magnetic technology. The oversize Double Fluxor Magnetic Arrays deliver the greatest flux density of any headphone, an astounding 1.5 Tesla for
outstanding control of the driver. That's important as the greater the flux density, the better the control of the planar diaphragm yielding significantly better transient response. The LCD-4 has the flattest, deepest, most accurate bass response of any headphone on the market. "There aren't many LCD-4s available right now," says Audeze CEO Sankar
Thiagasamudram. "This is the result of our proprietary and ultra-precise methodology for voice-coil production. It takes two weeks for each diaphragm, for
example," he continued. "We use woods like Cocobolo and Macassar Ebony that are harder to machine and finish so it takes as long as 4 to 5 weeks for each run. Even the metal grills take more time than usual as we triple-chrome-plate them for greater
luster."
