July 2026 High-End Audio Review Magazine — Celebrating Music, Community & The Gear That Brings Us Together A passionate editorial for music lovers, audiophiles, and our global hi-fi Family.

This issue of Enjoy the Music.com's high-end-audio Review Magazine arrives at a moment when the global audiophile community feels more connected—and more energized—than ever! Over the past 30+ years, our publication has served music lovers with high-performance audio reviews, show reports, industry news, and heartfelt editorials that celebrate the musical art of listening. This month, we continue that tradition with renewed purpose: to honor the people, the gear, and the shared passion that make high-fidelity audio not just a hobby, but a lifelong pursuit of beauty, discovery, and both human and emotional connection. As the Old Guard is now retired, and we thank them for their decades of service, it is time for fresh faces to take charge as new ideas within the world of modern hi-fi audio move us forward.

This issue is written by music lovers for music lovers. Our well-respected musician contributors are not distant observers of music—they play it. We are honored to have musicians as part of the same global family of listeners who obsess over authenticity, realism, tone, texture, timing, and truth. Like you, we stay up late into the evening, sometimes into the early morning, (re)discovering favorite albums; debating the merits of solid-state, vacuum tubes, hornspeakers, planars, cone drivers, digital formats, phono cartridges, tweaks....  For some of us, it could be the joy of a perfectly aligned moving-coil phono cartridge or a well-treated listening room as your loudspeakers create a naturally immersive soundscape. Another audiophile / modern immersivephileTM is born! We are the music lovers who believe, as we do, that great sound is not a luxury—it is a form of nourishment for the soul.

A Community Built On Curiosity, Craft, And The Spirit Of Human Connection
One of the most inspiring aspects within our luxurious high-fidelity audio world is the way it brings people together. Whether at luxury hi-fi shows, in local listening audiophile groups / GTG, or through online discussions and videos, we share a celebrated blend of curiosity and generosity. We see this spirit reflected in every corner of the industry—from manufacturers who pour their hearts into engineering breakthroughs, to dealers who help listeners find the right hi-fi system, to enthusiasts who open their homes to share their setups with friends. Today, we celebrate the abundance of platforms for conversation, education, and celebration. With more than 300 show reports published over the years and many partnerships with respected print magazines and major North American audio events, our mission has always been to uplift the entire ecosystem of high-fidelity listening. If you don't see it on our website, there are many others, all cost-free, with a few clicks.

We're honored to present our July issue, as it continues the mission by highlighting the voices and experiences that make our community vibrant. We explore the emotional side of listening, the evolving landscape of digital and analog playback, music formats, and the ways in which music continues to shape our lives. During your busy life, we are inviting you to pause, take a breath, reflect, and to engage in music, and to rediscover the joy of being part of something larger than ourselves.

Infinite aural art...

Joyous, whimsical, reflective, encouraging, saddening, dancing, deeply sentimental, maddening (note: try playing "The Black Page #1 & 2" or "La Villa Strangiato" on drums and percussion)...

Music, powerfully human.

Celebrating The Gear That Inspires Us All
No Review Magazine issue would be complete without diving deep into the extraordinary gear that fuels our musical passions! High-end / luxury audio is a world where craftsmanship meets engineering, where artistry meets science, and where every component—no matter how small—plays a role in shaping the listening experience. We receive many emails from our many fans, audio manufacturers, and hi-fi distributors thanking us for being an independent voice within this commercial luxury audio world. This month's equipment reviews continue our tradition of rigorous, experience-driven evaluation. Our independent reviewers bring decades of listening expertise, technical understanding, and musical sensitivity to every assessment.

We feel it.

We listen for the emotional truth behind the specifications, the way a component reveals the soul of a recording, the way it transforms a familiar track into something… inspiring. Our goal, under the same guidance for well over 30 continuous years, brings you confidence as we help readers make informed decisions, to celebrate innovation, and to honor the world's best handcrafted limited edition high-fidelity audio equipment that defines this industry. Enjoy the Music.com's long-standing reputation is (humbly) honored by having built on our commitment to excellence. And in this issue, we continue to uphold that standard with world-class evaluations that blend aspiration, storytelling, and musical immersion.

A Global Audience United By Sound
One of the most beautiful truths about high-end audio is that it transcends a country's borders and localized languages. Our readership spans continents, cultures, and many generations. Some are seasoned audiophiles with decades of experience; others are newcomers discovering the magic of high-fidelity for the first time. With members of our staff consisting of musicians, we know music. All of us share the same desire: to experience music in its most vivid, lifelike, and emotionally compelling form.

Enjoy the Music.com's July issue embraces that global perspective. Under the same leadership for decades, we freely highlight trends shaping the international audio scene, from the resurgence of analog formats to the rapid evolution of streaming technologies. We explore how listeners around the world are building systems that reflect their personal tastes, spaces, and musical identities. And we celebrate the universal truth that great sound brings people together—whether they're listening to jazz in Tokyo, classical in Vienna, blues in Louisiana, opera in Italy, or electronic dance music in São Paulo.

Our role, as always, is to serve this diverse and passionate audience with integrity, enthusiasm, and respect. We are humbled by the ability to share ourselves with you as a steady, dependable, and long-time trusted resource for music lovers everywhere, offering content that is both authoritative and emotionally resonant. We get e-mails and phone calls thanking us for freely, and generously, supporting and giving back to events, to our community, and helping youthful music lovers too. We are deeply honored as they thank us for being a continued and highly valued independent voice within high-end audio.

Honoring The Shows, The Music Makers, And The Gear That Matters
Luxurious, handcrafted high-fidelity audio equipment, as showcased at high-end audio shows, remains one of the most exciting and unifying aspects of our community. These are places where listeners can experience new and modern immersive sound systems, meet talented artistic electronic and acoustic designers, discover emerging brands, and reconnect with old friends. Enjoy the Music.com has been a longtime media partner for many of these events, supporting the industry through extensive coverage, various features, and on-site reporting. We continue to generously give for over 30 years, are  honored to give back to our community, and to help educate music lovers with the Passport To Sound booklets.

As the industry's foremost publication to sponsor more audiophile shows / various industry-operated events within the high-end audio consumer electronics industry, we are honored to once again turn to the Sheraton Dallas Hotel from July 23rd through 25th, as this year's Southwest Audio Fest arrives with an exciting partnership:

"Enjoy the Music.com, one of the industry's most respected online publications for over 30 years, is the official lanyard sponsor for the three-day luxury high-end audio celebration. Their support ensures every exhibitor and member of the press receives a premium lanyard the moment they check in. For youthful and aspiring music lovers, Enjoy the Music.com is once again providing the critically-acclaimed educational booklet Passport To Sound. Written by scientist and higher education instructor May Anwar, Passport To Sound is the industry's foremost publication to help both inquisitive adults and youthful enthusiasts about the fundamentals of the high-fidelity world." We praise the countless moments—big and small—that make our love of music so rewarding: the first time you hear an audio system disappear, the thrill of a perfectly immersive soundscape, the goosebumps that come from a vocalist who feels present in the room. These are the experiences that remind us why we musicians and journalists / reviewers do what we do. These are the moments that keep us listening, learning, and striving.

Looking Ahead: The Future Of High-End Audio Is Bright
As we look toward the second half of 2026, the "K economy" is still strong here in the U.S., and the high-end audio landscape feels more dynamic than ever! Innovation is accelerating across every category—digital, analog, amplification, acoustics, and personal audio. Manufacturers are embracing new materials, new technologies, and new design philosophies. Listeners are exploring immersive formats, room-correction systems (we know AI is becoming more effective), and hybrid analog-digital setups. And the global high-fidelity audio community continues to grow, fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a shared love, and, perhaps, with a deep passion for music.

Our longstanding commitment to being at the forefront of this continuous evolution. Our mission is not only to report on the luxury industry, but to support it—to uplift the craft, the people, and innovation that make extraordinary sound possible, and to help listeners everywhere deepen their connection to music. Our July Review Magazine is a testament to that mission. It is a celebration of our love for high-end audio: the gear, the craft, the community, and the music that binds us together.

H.E.A.R. U.S.TM
If I may speak a bit closer to my heart, close friends understand my ability to create, to envision, and to implement (if it amuses me enough). An idea, which I've kept 'under my hat', is H.E.A.R. U.S.
TM. Guess this is where I should claim Trademark and 'turn you on' to what it means.

High-End Audio Rocks Ultimate SoundTM

High-End Audio Rocks Unlimited SoundTM

Yeah, the acronym might sound better than what it... Though it's a thought worth thinking, don't you think? Thought so. Ah, well.... Maybe someone else has a catchy meaning for H.E.A.R. U.S.? E-mail us at the bottom of this page to let me know.

Thank You, Music
During the past handful of weeks, I've enjoyed many in-depth conversations with a variety of publications, show promoters, distributors, YouTubers.... If we haven't spoken, send me an e-mail from the bottom of this page. The many wonderful e-mails from our fans, both longtime and new, continue to remind me that our efforts are greatly appreciated globally. To our newfound friends, welcome to our hobby. It deeply humbles us all that high-fidelity audio is now thriving, with a growth aspect at levels not experienced since, perhaps, the first Woodstock(!). Speaking of... during one of my conversations with a West coast magazine publisher, I mentioned that we need a quality DIY show, as it has been ages since NYnoise or VSAC. Am sure his West Coast friends can make it happen, as am loving the current DIY and tweak / parts / tube rolling / Sound Practices vibe. Would be mind-blowing to have a 25th Anniversary @ Arlene Grocery NYnoise. There are many N.Y. DIY enthusiasts, including Steve, Herb, Michael, Dave... am sure Peter, JC, Blackie, Joe... c'mon guys, let's make it happen.

As always in the end what really matters is that you...
