The $ensible Sound Joins Enjoy the Music.comô

November 16, 2001

The $ensible Sound Joins Enjoy the Music.comô!

Helping audiophiles and music lovers to spend less and get more, the widely distributed print magazine The $ensible Sound has officially come aboard the Internet's foremost authority in delivering timely, diverse specialty audio and music information - the Web site Enjoy the Music.comô. Sections from The $ensible Sound's currently available and future issues will appear on the Enjoy the Music.comô Web site. This benefits both magazines by creating higher visibility and enhanced access for the audiophile community.

For the eighth time now, Enjoy the Music.comô has been chosen to become the Internet gateway for another magazine. Due to the longstanding popularity of Enjoy the Music.comô, it is sensible that other publication share its unmatched resources. The regular readership of The $ensible Sound will be able to sample actual articles from the magazine without charge. More importantly, music lovers who enjoy The $ensible Sound will have the opportunity to subscribe to the magazine without ever dialing a telephone.

Founder and Publisher of The $ensible Sound, John A. Horan, said "We are pleased and excited to be affiliated with Enjoy the Music.comô. The site's main concern, MUSIC, mirrors our own here at TSS and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship in helping audiophiles to get the most of the musical experience."

The $ensible Sound Production Director Donald E. Nowak Jr. said "It's a great time for TSS to become involved with Enjoy the Music.
comô. We're growing at a tremendous rate, and this new affiliation is the next step in continuing that growth and bringing the enjoyment of music to a larger and younger audience over the 'Net'."

Steven R. Rochlin, editor of Enjoy the Music.
comô, says "We are humbled to have the eighth magazine, The $ensible Sound, join us. This provides us yet another opportunity to prove our strength within the audio industry. While we are constantly expanding our highly informative content and presence throughout the world, there is always room to grow. With a total of eight partnered magazines plus our own Review Magazine and Classic pages with show reports, we provide more diverse information concerning audiophilia under one single Web address than anyone else in the industry, in either print or web-based media." About The $ensible Sound

The $ensible Sound is a bimonthly, subscriber-supported audio equipment and recordings review publication whose thrust is to provide its readers with candid evaluations and information that will assist them in making "real-world" purchase decisions. Our secondary goal is to separate the bull from the science and to present it with tips and hints in a reader-friendly format which will allow our subscribers to improve the sound of their system(s) at little, or no cost.

While the audio landscape is littered with publications which fall over one another to be the first to tell you about the equipment which you can't afford, we are devoted to digging out those "sleepers", the unsung heroes of the audio world which provide the highest sound quality per dollar ratio. We don't shy away from higher-priced equipment, but we first must be convinced that its pricing has a relationship to product value, and doesn't just reflect a large advertising budget or the out-of-control overhead costs of a poorly run company. For almost a quarter-century, we have been bucking the audio establishment in our quest to show anyone who will listen that the price of a product doesn't necessarily have a direct relationship to its sonic quality. If you purchase audio equipment as a means of enjoying music, and want to maximize your buying power, we are the magazine for you.

Our reviewers are music-loving hobbyists who review audio equipment because they love it. They are not involved in the audio industry and its politics. Also, we totally insulate them from manufacturers to allow them full independence in their reporting. We don't allow our reviewers to participate in the coziness which seems to be standard operating procedure elsewhere.

We have been publishing for 25 years and we know what we are doing. We are the oldest and largest audio publication still operating under original ownership. We are also the only audio publication that specializes in passing along pricing and markup trend information along with all the inside industry dope that we can dig up. We are literally the only audio equipment review publication in the world that rates products on the basis of sound quality instead of a list-price hierarchy. In a time when our competitors change their opinion on "what's best" every 60 days, we can fully stand behind what we printed 10, 15, 20 years ago. Let's face facts: your hearing and the laws of physics and acoustics are fairly stable. Join us in our quest of separating audible fact from audio fantasy... Welcome!
