  The holidays present a great opportunity to spend time with family, catch up with friends, share some warm holiday meals, help your favorite charity and take a break from work. The holidays are of course a great reason to get a little shopping done too. This edition of NOVO contains one of my favorite articles to write during the year, our annual Holiday Gift Guide. During the research for this gift guide, George de Sa and I discover all sorts of exciting and innovative products that make perfect gifts for that special someone on your list. It should come as no surprise that we also find lots of items that perk up our own ears. Mom and dad – are you guys reading this? So kick back in your favorite armchair, with a hot beverage in your hand and enjoy this year's guide!

I certainly plan to spend time with family and friends during the holiday season, while at the same time working on developing two new projects I launched recently: Refractor and NOVO High-End.

Refractor is a marketing and communications agency, I launched together with my great friend-colleague Laura William, designed to help audio and tech companies grow their business. Refractor specializes in clear content and compelling creative. We help established and emerging companies communicate effectively with customers, media, distributors, and even investors. Some of the services we offer include: website design & content writing, advertising design, social media content a campaign management, product photography, press release writing a media distribution, and marketing material design – just to mention a few. While surfing the internet during the winter, I'd like to also invite you to check out my new project called NOVO High-End. NOVO High-End is an online publication that explores musical experiences that are achievable through high-end audio. With a continual stream of high-end product reviews and feature articles, NOVO High-End educates audiences interested in the highest level of quality, performance and aesthetic delight from their music systems. The NOVO High-End team now consists of contributors from North America, Asia and Europe and we've been busy rolling out regular content more frequently than ever. Thanks to this international approach, you'll soon be able to read about high-end audio products from around the world and learn what audio enthusiasts are up to around the planet. I've been having a ton of fun building this new project and hope that you enjoy it!
